This thread lost it's way a bit during my chat with 700700.
Anyway what I want to know is:
1. What's your brand loyalty?
Add up the number of BMWs you have ever owned or leased and divide it by your age
Any one scoring 1 or above would be a hero.
2. What's your total displacement?
Add up the engine displacements of all of your past BMW's
3. What's the total milage covered in all of the bmw's you have owned.
Over 500,000 miles would be rather impressive.
The winners in all three categories must be worshipped as the ultimate BMW owner - but who are they?

Just thinking about all the cars I and the other forum members seem to have owned or leased over the years.
What's your ownership record as a function of age?
I've had:
316 (pre e46 - don't know what the correct ref was)
323 e46 coupe (very good fun)
318 Touring
320cd e46 coupe
530d (current ride)
I'm 33 years old so this makes my brand loyalty ratio 5/33 or 0.15%
I think this is probably not very high compared to many of the forum members - can anyone claim a ratio above 1.00 ?
Also - whats your combined engine displacement for all of your bimmers? - Mines 11.5 litres - can anyone top 50?

i've had:
e30 325es '87MY 2+years
e23 735i '86MY 3 years
e24 630sci '77MY 3 years
e46 323i '00MY 5 1/2 years
e63 645Ci '05MY (current, will have at least 4 years)
as for my ratio,
im 33 also, so by the end of my current ownership i will be at about 50%
my engine is runnin' ~16Large

Another good indicator of loyalty would be the duration of BMW ownership as a proportion of your driving years.
I've been driving for 32 years and have owned a BMW during 19 of those years (59%).
I've owned 6 BMWs and have driven them for a total of 225,000 miles ... each mile with a smile.
Another way to measure it is # BMWs owned as a proportoion of all cars owned. I've owned 9 cars so my BMW loyalty would be 67%.

Total cars owned - 14 of which BMW's - 6 = 42%
Tachyon wins
But.... if I stick with BMW for the next 17 years (until I have been driving as long as you) the first ratio would be 75%
