Just thinking about all the cars I and the other forum members seem to have owned or leased over the years.

What's your ownership record as a function of age?

I've had:

316 (pre e46 - don't know what the correct ref was)
323 e46 coupe (very good fun)
318 Touring
320cd e46 coupe
530d (current ride)

I'm 33 years old so this makes my brand loyalty ratio 5/33 or 0.15%

I think this is probably not very high compared to many of the forum members - can anyone claim a ratio above 1.00 ?

Remember (especially you 700700 ) to make it worthwhile only include cars that you have owned or leased for a reasonable period - not loaners or cars you are buying and selling.

Also - whats your combined engine displacement for all of your bimmers? - Mines 11.5 litres - can anyone top 50?

You've got more litres than me !

No - add up the number of BMW's you have EVER owned (like really owned not just borrowed) then divide by your age - interesting measure of brand loyalty !

I've owned 5 beemers (only one at a time) in my 33 years - 0.15% - see?

As your a young un' I think you'll score high - but maybe age and experience will win out with some other forum members.

If you have actively used any of these cars on a regular basis for (say 3 months) then I say fair enough include them.

Just thought of another measure bmw MILES.

316 (45000)
323 coupe (65000)
318 touring (75000)
320cd (48000)
530d (2000)

Total miles of BMW pleasure - 235000 - can anyone top 500000?

I wouldn't be to depressed about getting to drive 6000 miles in an m3 - sounds like a lot of fun.

Better to have loved and lost than never loved ....

Actually fair point - all my cars (up till 530d) were not as lovable as my 323 coupe. The 530d has now ruined me for anything less.
