Oh man, I assume he was running from the law.

This is almost unthinkable. What are the odds of something like that happening.

I don't think I'll get in to a car again without a full three point harness and
safety webbing across the door windows ala rally cars.

I've seen that one before -- the odds are pretty high actually because these idiots usually never bother to use seat belts, etc. If they're stupid enough to run from the cops, they're also stupid enough to not buckle up...

Holy crap! Reminds me of the time when I saw someone get blindsided by a drunk-driver going at least 60-70mph.

1am Saturday night, there was an accident on the freeway and this man had stopped to help the folks involved in the accident. Mind you, all the lanes were stopped and I was front row of all this. Next thing I notice in my left-side mirror, a car was on the shoulder going about 60-70mph. The man makes his way to the shoulder with a flashlight attempting to warn the drunk-driver to stop. He doesn't and the guy ends up 30ft. in the air, dead when he lands back on the road. One of his legs was severed upon impact. Left me shaken for days after the incident.

With an avtar like that it was almost a foregone conclusion that you'd catch that.
I was squirming at the time. Wonder did he make it?

It's always the way that ordinary mere mortals are killed in the slightest of accidents
and the crims go thru something like this and walk away. Not right.

It's horrible to see but I certainly don't feel sorry for the guy.

Agreed - glad he didn't take anyone with him. Too many crashes like that end up with innocent people getting hurt/killed. By the looks of it I would say dead either before or upon landing (broken neck surely), and then the car would have certainly cleared up any uncertainty. Apologies to anybody offended by the next comment, but my opinon ... good riddance.
