My wife has drivesn the Acura MDX for a couple of years now and we have been very pleased. Reliability has been excellent and it drives more like a car than an SUV. The MDX has an excellent third row of seats that completely fold down, leaving plenty of cargo space when that is needed. I know they have a mid sized model now that addresses that, as the large Lexus SUV was simply too big for my wife's tastes.
. i've been hearing good things about these three suvs. that's the reason why i have hard time to decide or help them to decide :'(. mdx, reliable. srx, style & performance. xc90, safety. and pretty much my whole family doesn't like mb and lexus 
. my other concern is i'm quite sure my parents won't change the car w/i the next three years. mdx is '01 model and will probably change the body style in three years as '07 model. but both srx and xc90 just came out last year as '04 models. sigh 
, tough choice.

but my mom wants one just because she wants something roomy <_<. and even worse is she keeps saying we won't be able to haul big items if we have a car instead of suv. her big items mean furnitures ! she likes to change furnitures all the time
