I know it's a bit early, but hey, all of the shops have had trees and decorations up since 1st November round here So who else is looking forward to it ... I love Christmas. We cover our house in lights, I will post some photos once we've finished setting them up - it usually takes a few days. Children are 10, 8 and 6, so this year will be very special. For those with young kids ... enjoy it. Before you know it they'll be grown up and moved out.

In fairness to all our American friends I think we have to let them get past their Thanksgiving before they can get charged up for Christmas, as for Russ I think he is just starting his drinking... I mean shopping early this year , Cheers to you mate !!!

Don't forget Hanukkah either guys.

As for Turkey, I have a question... Why the hell couldn't the Pilgrims have chosen a 15 lb lobster, instead of a 15lb bird? For one, Turkey makes you sleepy and tired. Second, 90% of families out there over cook it and all the sides taste like crap too. I mean seriously, as Pilgrim Bob was settling on this fine piece of land we call the USA, he should have just trolled the waters and pulled together a few giant lobsters.

Thanksgiving would taste so much better if they did.

We've done Thanksgiving at my sister's for probably 28 of the last 30 years. She has cooked for up to 25 people. We ate on tables in the garage that year
I don't ever recall a bad tasting turkey. I do recall my aunt cooked one upside down and everybody wondered why it was so deformed and had no white meat!!!Add dressing, appropriate veggies (a sweet potatoe casserole with a cinamin graham cracker crust is one of my favs with turkey), and add pumpkin pie for desert. It does put you to sleep. Fiour days off from work and watching football every day is a fun tradition. We do have to do turkey left overs for days but cream turkey on biscuits makes up for it.

Hopefully I can drive the new 550i up to WV if the weather holds. Those roads are fun.

Christmas doesn't mean as much to me. No kids and I'm not really religeous.

You forgot the Cristmas (Office) Party, where you are always guaranteed that someone has a glass or two too many and seriously embarasses themselves. Always a highlight of the festive period...

Cheers and a "Merry" hic Christmas to you too
