I also got hassled on Thursday night for my tints. Luckly, he was cool about it and let me go but I did suggest that they should be more worried about rapist, pedophiles and murderers than tinted windows..lol.

NJ sucks in just about every way! Highest property taxes, highest insurance, one of the highest budget deficits of any state.

This is what you can do (for a short term) to keep the tints on:
1) Find a different route to get to work, if possible. Or
2) Roll down the front windows when you are in the area (it'd be tough in winter).

great minds think alike David...just about to head up that way again..
I passed 3 other cops today and none cared...Maybe I should get an M5 and blast through the area so fast they can't see if I have tints...
I'm thinking I should have got 5% just to see what its like, then given them a real reason to write a ticket...hahaha

Guess, It all has to do with luck. Three weeks after i purchased my car i slaped on 5% tint all around and have never got a ticket for my tint?? I would understand poilce giving people like me a ticket but 30% seems to light to give a ticket. Come on you can still see inside the vehicle.

Rich.. my suggestion.. leave it on! take a different route..lol.. and do what i do WHENEVER i see cops.. roll all 4 windows down fast.. (then i smile) works every time..
