it's called a "stinger" or a stinger style bumper, because of the angle it stops you from continuously rolling backward end over end in the event u flip back over in a high speed hill run, basically u hope u flip once instead of dying 
hahafor realy realy hot trucks they have a rear stinger as well, my bed is chopped and my tailgate is set up for a spare, none shown but when I get it finished I'll post
it also includes a winch mount ( I haven't installed a winch yet.)
