Crude oil is down over 40% from it's peak, while gas prices have dropped they have not dropped nearly far enough to match crude's drop. Regular should be ~2.30/gallon to match the 40% drop.. I'd say we're headed down to 2.50/gallon for regular within the next couple weeks. Consumer gas prices always take a while to fall but rise nearly immediately when crude rises. Not fair but as others have mentioned, to get this drop we're basically having a crash of the world economy .. not good!

Opec will be meeting in November to discuss a cut in production of crude so it probably won't be long before we see oil prices creep up again.

Hey a barrel of oil is down almost 50% of the high in July yet gas is only down about 25%......they're still screwing us!!!! Its funny how quickly the gas prices ramped up...yet those fat cats are sure taking there time going down. we should be around $2.40 a gallon.....WTF

Wow, you guys are lucky. Over here in San Francisco, its still $3.71 for premium and thats the cheapest I found in town.

I would much rather the gas prices stay high and give me back all the money that I have lost in the past 2 weeks !!!!!!!!!!
