Well a few days ago my service lights came on for brake fluid/engine oil (which I changed a month ago) so I took the car to the dealer to have them reset the service lights. I also had passenger restraint malfunction that needed resetting as well as some other false faults.

On the phone I was told $110 was the ballpark estimate (when I scheduled my appointment, this was not the official estimate)

Get to the dealers at 8, sign the docs, give them my keys and go home. 12:30 comes around and still no estimate call, so I drive back to the dealers. The secretary tells my that the SA mentioned something around $600 because "you cant have your oil changed somewhere else. the light wont go away unless we do the oil change. that's why it's so expensive" I laughed and said "alrighty well thank you, may I have my keys. I'll be fine with the warning lights"

SA comes out and looks unhappy (OH WELL) and hands me my keys. I walk out get my car and drive away. When I look at my dash I see that they cleared everything I asked for. Minus the service stuff. so basically I got around $300 of service for free..

Does anyone know how to reset the oil/brake fluid service messages? Once they go off, you cannot go back and push the mileage further. Thanks!
