So I got the dreaded fix-it ticket for a missing front plate in Brea. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get this processed without drilling holes on the front bumper to install the plate.

Thanks again

BTW- the officer crossed out the $24 fine and wrote in $55. Is that even legal?

Front License Plate Tow Hook Kit.

Nice for getting out of those fix-it tickets, without drilling holes. Just screws right in where the tow hook goes.

Did you ask him the reason? He has to give you a reason for doing something like that, right?

Yes it does, and I did it. Before you roll into the station, put the 3M double side on the back of the OEM frame and attach it to your front bumper. It works, trust me!

Recent legislation in California requires that fines for motor vehicle violations against BMW drivers be doubled ... obviously that police officer didn't pass the math portion of the test!

On a serious note, when the police officer altered the summons was any explanation given? You could suggest that your mistake (forgetting to display a front tag) and his mistake ($24 ... no $55 ...) are like a double negative and negate each other

Now all it needs is a way to deploy while you're still in the driver's seat. Imagine the look on the cop's face?

Yep. Been there done THAT. You need to use a double layer on some parts and a single layer on the sides. Clean the bumper well, even if the tape doesn't stick the holder falls forward and keeps it on. But done right the tape works. Pulls off with no problems even with the protective film on the front of the car.

Good luck
