hey guys,

so, im about to purchase my own first car here at LA. I've been studying at college for almost 2 years w/o a car now and I really can't take it anymore. Today is the first day of spring break for me and I plan to make my purchase by this week. I was supposed to get an e92 328i but my budget has been cut down to $10,000. I will hopefully be getting a brand new e92 335i as a graduation present next year (that's where the deal stands right now). So anyway, I prefer to stay within the family and am looking at some e46 coupes and convertibles. Any comments/suggestions as to the reliability of this car? any other brand/model you think I should consider? thanks...

You could probably get a older m3 under 10k.
