just a quick question/comment....

i never understood the reason for gun collecting. im not for or against it, honestly i could care less if you have a gun or not. but the main reason to have a gun i would imagine is to shoot it, right? do you use these guns or do they stay locked up in a cabinet where no one can see them? if anything i would at least display them so they can be appreciated but i always hear people have them locked away. i understand the safety factor of having them locked up, if you have kids they need to put away but then why have all this power (automatics and clips upon clips of rounds) anyway? is it to scare away intruders or do the majority of gun owners live in an area that you need to carry a grenade launcher? hunting rifles i can almost understand although i am against killing animals for fun. but at least you have a legit reason to carry a rifle. im not talking negativly here i really am interested in the answer.

Attachment 77588
Incredible. The guys here are talking about guns the way I'd talk about my socks.
Different world as there is no gun culture over here. Only the crims seem to have them.

Re your battle rattle, I've seen it in plenty of footage from Iraq but I was wondering what the black helmet mount was for. Is that navigation you mentioned above?

What way does it work and is it issued to everyone?

I would think it's the same as anything else one collects. For example, I collect watches. I enjoy tinkering with them and wearing different ones on differing occasions. I don't really need more than one, but something about the style of the case, the intricacy of the movement, the band options, etc., makes me like certain models enough to want to own one. If I were very wealthy, I would have 25 cars as well.
