Because Porsche and Lamborghini did and someone, somewhere will buy it.
I don't think Ferrari sees themselves as being in competition with Porsche anyway because they have such divergent philosophy, and thus wouldn't do something because Porsche did it, regardless of its success.
Now the Scuderia is a different story, but only as it applies to racing.
