After the new (-17%) pulley replaced in the supercharger (+15HP), new mods are coming! (+20 HP)

With this new complete exhaust I will break the 200 HP barrier and I image my Mini will smoke many 6 cilinders sedan (530i, 530d, Audi A6 3.0TDI/3.2 petrol, Mercedes etc.) . At least at low speeds (under 160 kmh/100 mph) and on bends.
Honestly, on hard corners (mountains etc.) I think my Mini is already faster than my 545i.

Love it and I wouldn't replace it for any other car (Z4, for example, that used is very cheap)

The kat is empty and I wouldn't pass the smoke check in December, so I am going with a 200 cells catalyst to insert in.
Then... Installation!
I will have to wait about 10 days before driving it .. Can't wait!!!!!!!

Congrats to my 1100 Kg/200 HP beauty!

Pics and clip with sound will follow!

To be honest there is a vid on YT of that exhaust.
But I'm going to install also headers+kat, so it will sound a little different (more angry ? ) .

Dont forget the Unichip Computer to further enhance your pulley and exhaust ! could be in the 210+ horsepower range. Mini Mania has the info on that combo! That car will be just a rocket!

Yes, I am considering to going with the remap (pulley, complete exhaust, alta filter ..), because the man who remapped my 545 would apply a good discount.
Still can't wait!

Guys, I have a problem!
I installed the exhaust, the cat decat, new headers, etc.
The car seems a beast, BUT.. If I upshift over 1500-2000 rpm I risk to see in the mirror an helicopter of the police.
It is TOO loud, without catalyst and with this exhaust.
When I made the exhaust (custom) on the 545i it was very loud, but in 1000 km it became silent almost as stock exhaust.
Will it happen also with this ? It is not a custom exhaust, I bought it on eBay.

I should go on highway and do 3-400 km, in the city the car is unusable for now. It sounds as an F430.
Accelerating to 4-5k rpm, it seems a thunder. Booooom.

If it won't become better, I will have to mod it adding a silencer. And maybe a 200 cells cat.

As impression... The car seems gaining 200cc, from 1.6 to 1.8. But I pulled till 7000 rpm just one time going to a place close to the airport.

Edit: tomorrow I will put on the old stock catalyst (it lost power and torque under 4k rpm) and a new silencer. Then I will drive it for a while and will see what to do, if keep it as it will be or going with the 200 cells cat.

Ok, added a new silencer on the free long part the exhaust had. And put the old stock cat on new headers.
And reduced the diameter from 57 mm to 55mm.

Result: the car now is almost silent as was as stock. It gets backpressure again and now the car goes very well at medium rpm and not bad at highs (but slowly compared to without kat).
From metallic, the kat made the sound dark as before.

Now I am thinking to install a 200 cells kat, to go faster from 5 to 7k rpm. And if it will lose torque and power again, I will reduce the diameter of another millimeter.

This morning I smoked an SLK200 (163 HP) . I think my Mini has about 200 HP now.

The real problem now is I need new brakes, because in the city is too simple reaching 100-110 kmh and I need to stop faster. Maybe M5 brakes on the Mini too ? :-)

Ok, installed yesterday a Magnaflow 200 cells cat:

The car now goes very fast. Really, I'm almost scared.

What about this type of cat on our 5er?

Post a sound clip!!!
I love Minis!!

We have a JCW in the garage!
It is pretty fast compared to a lot of bigger cars!
But in the highway i yhink that it is pretty average!

B roads, or mountain roads, or even the city!
That?s its environment!
