Now what's my gasoline powered car going to be worth? I'm going to be dreaming tonight of scenarios of the 18 cent gasoline again.

Hmmm... why do I get the idea that FOX didn't do their homework on this one?

I think I would quickly jump on board if they made an engine that had similar output as my 545. Shoot, for less than a cent I could fuel my car for hundreds of miles... AWESOME. I guess time will tell how all these alternatives will play out. This one just seemed too cool to keep to myself.

Yep... BMW has been building hydrogen power (dual fuel) cars since 1979. Good stuff. We just need a cheap way to produce hydrogen.

Rudy,

I have known that BMW has been researching/testing hydrogen, and various engines for a while. But think of this, you only need to put regular tap water in your vehicle. There is no worries of whether or not the station down the street will install hydrogen pumps or not. With the Hydrogen method you have to so much infrastructure you have to wait for as a consumer. All of this could be solved by an engine that coverts water to fuel. Either way, I believe the sooner we get to a happy medium the better. By the way, I have been right here. I'm not sure what you meant by that.

That car didn't run on only tap water. And that torch looked a lot like a plasma cutter and those take alot of electricity to run too. Snake oil? I'm all for alternative fuels but I'm very skeptical.
