OMG....I have to tell you, $39.00 dollar Panasonics work fine for me. For $500 smackaroos I can add a spoiler to my e60.......LOL

The difference is similar to that of a 325i vs an M5.
They are both cars, both bmw's, etc.
One costs a whole bunch more, and is a substantially different experience.
You just need to decide it the experience is worth the extra $$.
In both cases it is.

The only problem is that I have the extra $$ for the earphones but not for the M5.

i have used the ETYMOTIC ER-6 for some time now and very pleased with their capabilities. Got them to replace the big anti noise headsets that I used on my 15-25 hour trips to Norway, Japan, Guam, and the like. Now that I quit travelling a rarely used any of them. Happened to be a a temporary office location yesterday and today and needed to use them again and really nice reproduction and noise blocking. At about $130 probably not in the Shure E5 league
