I just picked up a set of Shure E5's.

It's amazing how something so small can give such an awesome sound.

It's 2am and I can't stop listening.

They're like an M5 for your ears!!!

Like I said, They're like M5's for your ears.

If you ever get the opportunity to try a set you'll wonder why they're not more $$.

I'm listening to songs that I've listened to for the last 20 years and I'm hearing things that I've neaver heard before.
The detail is unbelievable, the soundstage & imaging is incredible and the bass must go all the way down to 10Hz (you hear it but don't feel it).

Hey, the free earbuds that you get with your MP3 player are free for a reason.

Less than a $100 is OK, but $500, OMG, that's my whole month saving

$500!!!!!! haha eh but thats pennies to you.

But doesnt the sound detail depend on how good the source can output the sound? what are you using? iPod? MP3s are compressed you'll lose detail also. I guess to get full effect you need a NICE CD player with a real CD. Cuz If you plug it into a $10 CD player I bet you'll lose some output!

If I spent $500 on a set of earphones, do you think I'd have a $10 CD player?

Actually, I've been burning my CD collection at the maximum quality rate. So far I've been listenting from my 'puter while hanging out her.
I also throw the same 320Kbps songs on my MP3 player. (I don't need 300 songs on it - I'd rather have 50 good ones).

I can't wait to try them with another source.

Did you have to drill holes directly in the center of those black and yellow circles so you could insert them directly into your head?
