Don't worry - you'll know...it's quite clear where there is a speed limit.

When the Porsches stop passing you, that's your que to slow down!

AND REMEMBER, ONLY PASS ON THE LEFT SIDE! No exceptions. Be careful and enjoy.

Well, 130 kmh is teh recommended speed when there is no speed limit. Anything above that and the accident is your fault. There are speed limits on the autobahn in some areas so you have to be careful. However, when I am on th eautobahn I may get passed by one or 2 vehicles at the most from Brugge to Spangdahlem. Or any where I go.

I lived in Germany for three years.

Most Autobahns are two lane. Therefore there are two speeds:

Inside lane approx 90kmh with the lorries.
Outside lane approx 160kmh+ with the Porkers and Merc's.

GREAT FUN!

When I did ED for my 540, I had many more MBs run by me at high speeds than BMWs. Kind of unexpected, but when you get out around Stuttgart, the guys in the MB CLs are moving at like 150 MPH all the time.

I'd say I saw more of them than anything. Plus, even a few Ferraris. Not as many Porsches and BMWs, though - at least in the West.
