I got u-verse installed last week, and the picture quality is horrible compared to the cable I had before. I want to get rid of u-verse after only 3 days. Does anyone use direct tv? If so how do you like it? Im debating between dish network or direct tv, I'll have to buy all the equipment if I go with directtv.

Picture quality on mine is awesome (I have the HD-DVR boxes). No complaints, particularly when using HDMI. By the way, DirectTV is now offering some HD content in 1080p rather than just the standard 1080i.

I have directTV.
Love it. HD Content is fabulous.

I have 3 1080p TV's so, hopefully DirecTV will start to push out more Full-HD Content.

Also, I warned you about U-verse before, didn't I? =)

You live in NJ.
therefor, you have DOCSIS 3.0 upgrades. Essentially, Comcast is in direct competition with FiOS over there so they'll dish out more bandwidth to bring out a better picture.

For us in the "non-competitive" markets, we (if i had comcast cable) would be stuck with the regular over compressed comcast video.

I'm in South Jersey. We don't have DOCSIS 3.0 yet as FIOS hasn't made it here. When it does, Comcast will be kicked to the curb in a heartbeat!
