So I went to the dealer today to help out my friend because he needed a drive back becuase he had to drop off his car. On the lot I see a 335d and I asked the technician "do you have the 335d" And he said "yea we carry them now"

That surprised my. I didn't know that they had diesels in the US now. Did anyone else know this?

Thank you

Didn't know either. Until I spotted a 335d heading to the Lincoln Tunnel today.

The 335d is getting high praise from the car mags. It has a ton of torque and does 0-60 in about 6 seconds while getting high MPG.

I haven't noticed one yet, but it has been discussed as something to expect.

Mercedes has had a Diesels for a while now. My dad has a GL 320 CDI and I have to say I love that car. The diesel in it is amazing great torque and it just feels right. Mercedes has yet to introdude the sedans with the Diesels. So far they only have the GL and the R class.
I guess BMW is now doing the same. I would like to test drive the 335d as I have never driven a BMW diesel.

The 335D is available at the dealerships that I've been to in the last few weeks. But most dealerships seem to have only one or two. It is supposed to be a torque monster so it should be a lot of fun to drive.

Thinking about it, I suspect the diesel will do well in the states. Imagine driving on those long motorways at 50mph. You guys will get a real decent fuel economy figure.

cheers

Judging from what people say, I think the 335d will really take off over here.
