Maybe, but not very politic. There are very many Iranians that do not agree with what the govt is doing, why should they be made to suffer?
its just frustrating how a couple people ruin it for everyone else..

Chess analogies, eh? So I guess the US military response to Bin Laden would be like looking all over house for the chess set, but you just can't find it?

either that or-1.) Bin Laden is really dead, but the US won't make it official and risk creating six Bin Laden's by making him a martyr.
2.) Bin Laden truly has been able to avoid the intelligence agencies of both the United States and Great Britan for 8 years, successfully.
3.) Bin Laden was probably not the one who downed the WTC and attacked the Pentagon, so we're not really looking for him anymore. (If he was, then someone somewhere, knew that attack of that scale was imminent (Remember how quickly they arrested Zacharis Moussawi after 9/11? 300 million people in America- how'd they know he was involved so quickly and more importantly- where to find him?)
4.) Most people would turn their mother's over to the U.S. Government for the right amount of money. I don't know how true it is, but I seem to have heard at one time, there was a multi-million (possibly $300 million) reward for information leading to the capture of Bin Laden.
Now, while its true money isn't the same motivator for some, as it is others. I don't know of many people- especially no one in what has to be an entire support group around Bin Laden, that wouldn't roll over one him for immunity and millions. No one is that loyal... Not to a living person, anyway.
Who really knows? We were fed a bunch of lies and half truths about the war, what we were looking for, and how we were goign about doing it for 8 years- it's hard to really know what's really going on. But, if I had to guess, if I had to put money on a bet, I believe option 1 (above) is what I'd bet on. As rich as he is, I don't think option 2 is viable, and I think #4 is too strong of a motivator for someone not to give him up, if they knew who and where he was.

Hell, I'd roll over on him for free. But now that you mention it, a few bucks would be nice.

300 million would be for the entire group.
See here: FBI's most wanted terrorists.
The Rewards For Justice Program, United States Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $25 million for information leading directly to the apprehension or conviction of Usama Bin Laden. An additional $2 million is being offered through a program developed and funded by the Airline Pilots Association and the Air Transport Association.

What gives the US the right to have Nuclear bombs? Is it because they start a war every 5 years? Or is it because they created the Taliban (yes they did go look it up). Or is it because they want everyone to do what they think is right. Lol I find you guys too funny.

Also, we have them to protect us from the same weak minded individuals that perpetrated 9/11. These pathetic cowards killed civilians, women, and children - all violations of the Koran's definition of Jihad. So their idea of going to Paradise were misguided.
You are right, we, ourselves created the Taliban and to a large extent we created Bin Laden as a leader - he DID earn his chops fighting the Russians in Afghanistan. So you are absolutely correct there.
