If you were going to put chrome on, then at least do a better job of putting the damn thing on straight.

Krozi - You gotta find out who the chrome loving owner is.
I'll write him a note with a link to the envy thread

MBP727, that is quite possible. But I wouldn't buy a M3 with THAT mileage, you never know what will pop up since you have no idea of how it was maintained. The 530i was a much safer deal.

Scott, yea hahaha I did all my homework in the car though. My parents basically allowed me to skip school once a month for the dealer auctions. Provided the homework load can be managed. There are the normal auctions with all the beaters and once a month there is a highline auction.

Glad to hear the homework did not suffer.

give us more details on how these auctions work.

did you go in with a licensed dealer?
did you pay any attention how much any of those cars sold for?
how many dealers show up?
do those high end cars come from new car dealers?

Marc, Schools opened Monday, you attended 2 days in a row, skipped and went on a young car buffs dream day off. You are Ferris beuller!!

In a previous life, I got to drive high end cars from auctions to dealers in Ny,Nj,Ct, Ma. It was a good part time job and driving 911's ,MB ect on the Merritt Pky (rt 15) with real twisties was awesome. As long as the cars arrived w/o damage and were not car jacked in NYC they were happy.

You are "very lucky" as stated in your sig.
