Here's the full letter that Mosley sent to the F1 teams

Cosworth would actually make a decent engine - but this is a truly awful idea that could seriously damage the sport.

Hell no, of course, but a lot of stuff will happen.

Renault got a back door to improve their engine.

Otherwise the F1 cars look like the ones that Keke Rosberg won his World title with.

PS. Damned we Finns have many F1 World Champions

It's another lost opportunity for the sport. Would have been much easier for F1 just to adopt their current engines as a "not to exceed" specification for future years and allow the teams to differentiate based on efficient aerodynamics (reinstating some of the things that used to be allowed) and weight reduction. Both of the latter are of much more relevance to modern motoring - F1 engines have plenty of power as it is, and the industry as a whole would benefit from the aerodynamic enhancements and research into weight reduction whilst preserving structural integrity.

Nice to hear that a american also is interested in the unconditionally King of Motorsports, the F1's.

But do you really think that BMW, Ferrari or M-B would drive with (Ford) Cosworth engines?

For ie in US the racing sport is close to a joke with all the top series driving on ovals.
Stock cars is a US thing and let it bee so.

But racing on real racing tracks is something else and the Formula Ones are so high tech and above
anything else, and by far. But now it seems - too far.

I'm so for 1,8 liter L4 turbo engines with a limited rev of some 16,000 or even less.

We all do remember the BMW S4 1,5 litre L4 turbo engine with more than 1,300 hp's!

Nelson Piquet won the the F1 Championship in 1983 with a Parmalat Racing Team Brabham BT52 (and -
with this famous BMW S4 engine.

Or do we?

Your dead on Ric. There was never a hope in hell that BMW, MB or Ferrari would ever use a stock engine.

Just one minor correction - I'm English!
