I saw this on a Porsche board--it's a prank. Having a convertible makes no sense, and consider this quote:

Officer Nowwegotcha was quoted as saying. "The Camaros were at the end of their useful life, and were never able to be used fully given that CHP officers are prohibited from wearing mullets while on duty"

Interesting name for the officer...

The police in florida have some nice cars. It's a law here that if they catch you street racing they can sieze the car.

I lived in Amsterdam years ago, and the law in Holland says that if you are caught going X KPH over the speed limit (can't remember how much over), they take your car away. There was a Porsche 911 Targa police car when I lived there...wonder how they got that...

good thing i don't see any nice police cars here or i'll be pissed . but they ride on bmw bikes rather than harley now .

Alohalc,

I recall seeing a black Infinity G35 in Waikiki the last time we were there. I think it was a police car. It was across the street from the Hyatt and had a blue light bar on top of it.

i know in long beach we helped sponsor and find sponsors to build their race car..impala.... and is is used alot for show and for the dare program.... not sure how others are funded... but i can vouch for long beach pd.. eric
