Well I am actually going to Greece, but we are flying to Germany and then on to Greece...I'll only be in Cologne for 1 day...during that time I'm gonna hit up every bakery, every little restaurant, and some nice döner places, throw back a couple beers, and maybe visit my old house if we have time...

Good choice!
you have to go to "Päffken"
They make their own beer and nice german food.
I was there in january during the international furniture fair..
Until today I don't remember how I came back to the hotel that night
Hau rein!

I was talking about the "Schweinshaxn" - I'm definitely gonna try to find a place to try this in NYC. If anyone can recommend, I'm open to suggestions. Heck, we can even do a meet there!

My latest creation:
Beef cutlet, halved and topped with some fresh "Israeli" salad (very garlicky and mushroomy spread) and half-sour pickle strips.
Side of my signature Spicy Taters (boiled&fried) - used a bunch of Mediterranean spices to taste, fried in olive oil and added a little whole milk reduction to the mix right before serving (came out so spicy - they buuurn! )
