im sorry to hear that you have that problem within your own family, its a tough pill as you say. Its not so much capitalism run by stalin, its Maoist ideology trying to survive by infusing somewhat open markets while regulating every action any business makes
i think the key is the fact that the government owns a piece of every business and the PLA now operates as its own company
I do think that when this generation of leaders dies off, the newer younger generation of chinese leaders that grew up without Mao will drastically change china for the better
