Not 2030, but if any country will, then China is definitely up there...Communist or not.

i doubt it honestly

first its not practical in any way for the common chinese person, which last time i checked were still getting their land confiscated by their own government and attacking police for it

second, most chinese dont own a car or have the means to buy one. Until the car is more common than the bike or public transportation this is just a nationalistic pipe dream that the chinese like to prop up

Chinese never like to like in the mirror, theyd rather just stare out the window and dream

In two decades that; my friend; is not a small feat.

and whats your point? that one example of a metropolitan hub that has very little communist influence can adapt and evolve into a modern city? Look at Hong Kong too.

Chinese nationalism is just ridiculous and far more racist and xenophobic than anything ive ever encountered in my life. Every step China makes towards modernization in the urban cities, it takes five steps back in the rural.

Why dont you read about all the farm and land confiscations by the PLA and police forces at the behest of urban developers.

China is not a gem, its got more growing pains because of this nationalistic bullshit
