My Ride: G30 M550i
Model Year: 2018

Cool idea -- not sure if it will ever take off or not.

Upside:
- If everyone had these, I could start to park much closer to the door of the building I'm going to since I wouldn't get any door dings.
Downsides:
- I won't get as much exercise since I won't be walking as far...
- After washing your car, the window will immediately get smeared unless you wash it and don't move it for some time.

Interesting concept I remember the BMW Z1 having doors that would slide down.
A friend of mine owned a Green Z1 and when sand or other small road debris got stuck where the door would slide down it started to scratch the paint.
