Wow... ya.. I've heard of those pick pockets in Europe... very sneaky! And those police scams too. My roomate backpacked through Europe and got his wallet stolen like that. Two guys approached him and acted as they were police and asked to see an ID and when he took out his wallet they grabbed it and ran.

Well at least you didnt have the Z06 key in your front pocket.

Sorry to hear about the criminals, but you are right - they are everywhere. Glad you are having a good time.

Where is the BMW - forget to pack it while in London?

Have a great trip.

Thanks d...: We left the BMW with the Queen since we knew we would be on foot mostly in Belgium. We definitely are having fun (still).

Znod, sorry about your bad experience.
It happenend to me in Milan a couple of years ago. 2 female gypsys, one holding a baby came to me to beg for money and bumped my chest. I had my wallet in my front inner pocket of my suit. They were good and I didn't know until they walked away and I checked my wallet. I ran upto them with my attache case and threatenend to smack their baby if they didn't return my wallet. They quickly returned it, apologized and walked off. I think they had other people tip them off to know which pocket your wallet is in.
Be very careful when people walk upto to you very quickly.
They are very, very good.

Please enjoy the rest of your trip!

Thanks much for your post and the information. And, we will be more careful. My backup wallet now is in a place where I will know for sure if it is accessed by someone other than me.
