Hi,
I am in the process of setting up a new business, which needs to be registered in the USA, with a business bank account also creating in USA. As a UK citizen, this would mean (for the banking part) that I need to go to America in person in order to achieve this, something which would be a bit of a pain for me at this current time.
Therefore I'm asking for some help ... what I need is somebody based in America, who would be interested in either 1) Just helping me out getting the company registered and bank account opened, or 2) actually becoming involved in the company (and also helping to achieve item number 1 !).
The company will primarily be involved in the technology sector so if you would like to become involved, experience in IT would be a must, and I'd be looking for somebody quite "senior", e.g. not a pure techy/developer type person. We have a couple of contracts lined up already but due to "company politics", we need to get the company and bank set up in the US before we can move forward.
Anyway, primary issue at the moment is finding somebody who can help me out with the company registration and bank account. It's not illegal or even "dodgy" - US law simply states that the primary named person on a US business bank account must either be a US resident or if overseas must go to the branch in person. Once the account is opened by a US citizen, it is perfectly ok to add additional people to the account who are not US citizens. Crazy really, but that's the rules.
If anybody could help me out and/or wants to get involved in the company (not necessarily limited to one person), drop me a PM. I am obviously prepared to pay for the assistance for just setting up the banking (we can discuss the figure over PM!), and we can chat about involvement in the company in more detail for anybody who is interested. This can include people who already have full time jobs as initially involvement would be fairly limited and flexible.
