Also i think 95% of the members on this forum wouldn't even fit in an F1 car
Yep.
I tried to (on a promotion they had a real Williams/BMW from the previous year), but couldn't get in.

That was my point...that shows how fit the drives have to be and how flexible.

No doubt they are fit, but you are saying that their reaction time and reflex are better than those piloting a jet fighter, obviously that's not the case.

I don't think anyone was saying 'better' than a fighter pilot. What I was trying to say was that the F1 drivers have to have reaction times and reflexes more like a pilot than an ordinary driver.

I didn't say better, cuz overall those 2 categories can't be compared too much because of the distinctive domains BUT i do sustain that probably an F1 driver has to be sometimes more alert than a fighter pilot...allright not more alert, more on the razors edge...compare the 2 as this: one good driver going on a hot lap at the limit of phisics and a pilot doing a dog fight or smth like that. If the driver looses concentration just for a second or so it's bye bye fast lap that could have given him a poleposition, if the fighter pilot does the same it's not that bad or catastrofic unless he was exactly in that particular moment of being targeted and locked wich is bye bye for him also. I dunno it's hard to compare the 2 of them...
