I'm following on news web sites as well. My oldest son just left the WTC on 9/10. I was in Virginia, wife in Florida and neither was sure where our son was on 9/11. Needless to say there were some frantic phone calls being made before my wife and I were convinced he was in the clear.
I know what many of you may be going through and my situation turned out good, hope yours is too.

Latest information is that there have been 4 confirmed explosions - 3 on the underground and 1 on the bus. Casualty reports are not being released as yet due to the overall confusion I suspect but it has been confirmed that 2 people have definately lost their lives. I fear that this figure is going to rise as some eye witness reports from off duty medical people did not sound good.
It was heartening to see the G8 leaders along with the leaders of China, South Africa, India and other nations along with Koffi Annan of the UN standing resloutely behind Tony Blair as he spoke at a press conference at Gleneagles.
