BMW Ultimate Punch Line Contest

The contest ended in March, and they said to look for the winner to be announced in April, but we are running out of days here.

Here was my submission: "Ever since he spent a weekend at the BMW Performance Driving Center, he's been driving like a bat out of Welt."

What do you guys think?

I also had some other ones like "Being the Man of Steel used to mean something until BMW started using so much darn Aluminum on their cars," and "Yeah, I may be faster in a straight line, but he always passes me in the twisties."

I thought mine were much better than these, but I guess I wasn't even in the top 3.

Although I thought your enties were very clever and creative, I must admit that the winning entry just works. It's simple but yet it fits perfectly with Superman being the speaker.

Your reference to the Welt, while clever, is probably something BMW felt wasn't going to make sense to everyone -- sure, we know what the Welt is but most people don't.

to EBMCS03: yes, they provide a blank cartoon/drawing and solicited punch lines for it. The winner got a trip the performance driving center in South Carolina.
