To try and say that DURING WWII, that BMW was responsible for these decisions and NOT the Third Reich is just ridiculous! Private companies were controlled by the state with the penalty of death hanging over their heads if they did not please the state! So I fail to see how this has ANY validity, especially as it is from 2000. Don't get me wrong, it was a terrible thing these people had to endure, but the cause was not BMW.

I have a friend I met through my old Boss that collects old german Cars and motorcycles. He has alot of BMW motorcycles that the Germans used during the war. But there is interesting things he told me During the war and after. There were two main factory making vehicles during this time. When the war started one was pushing out trikes for the war and there other was pushing out vehicles under the control of Hitler. Not the BMW. Well when the war ended, BMW started to produce street bikes again BMW only had control of one factory so during this peiord there where two types of bikes being produce each factory having it each own. He has both bikes and you can tell which one is real(BMW) and which one was still under control of the goverment. The owner of these bikes which he has at least five real BMW and one that was built by the goverment, was born and raised in Germany during this period. After the war he came to America to start a new life.

EDIT: the next time I am at his garage I will take pics to share.
