I downloaded Google Desktop 2 yesterday (have been using version 1 since it was introduced) and there's a cool new feature (in addition to being able to quickly and easily search your PC) called sidebar. Among other features, it has a section which displays a random slideshow of pix on your PC (and/or the web). Here's link to download Google Desktop: http://desktop.google.com/

There are several other sections, but I've found the photo slideshow section very interesting--you'll see pix you haven't looked at in eons--and many bring back good memories. Here's one I took at the Blackhawk auto museum in Danville, CA, which is about an hour east of SF, and has an amazing collection of rolling pieces of art. http://www.blackhawkauto.org
