Hey Rudy,

What's the weather forecast for Sunday?

Will you be at the game?

How much are scalped tickets going for (not interested, just curious)?

What's the mood up there, pensive, confident ?

Have you ever been to a superbowl?

Sunday's forcast sounds good -- compared to Saturday's....

We're supposed to get snow from 4am Saturday to 4am Sunday -- up to a foot or so. Sunday is supposed to be partly cloudy with some flurries and a high temperature of about 18 degrees (F). It should be a great game since each team is capable of dealing with winter conditions!

Yes, I'll be there. I haven't paid attention to the scalper's prices -- I imagine there are some tix out there on eBay to give you an idea of the going rate.

The mood is confident but not cocky. I think everyone has a lot of respect for the Pats. If we'd have played better last week, I think everyone would be less worried -- that may actually help us play better. It'll surely be the game of the year -- probably even better than the Super Bowl.

And no, I've never been to a Super Bowl nor do I have the desire to go. I guess I'm getting old...

What's the buzz like up there?

I guess we'll be getting your Saturday's weather on Sunday Rudy Oh well just another reason to shutter the doors and let the entire staff stay home.

The Buzz around here is typical Boston........very confident, actually a little cocky. The thinking (sports talk radio anyway) is that the Pats will most likely blow Pittsburgh out. I must agree I'm much more confident after the Colts game (and Pitt/NY Jets). I think the team is back in form, only the question of coverage looms (Ty Law - Poole out) but I can't see Big Ben passing much (story here is he has a sore thumb)

The theory behind a Pat's win is .......shut down the run and make Roesthlisberger pass. Brilliant huh?

Looking forward to a relaxing Sunday Rudy, I'll be thinking of ya'. And If my team loses I'll be groveling on monday, you can bet on that.

The story of Roethlisberger's thumb got a life last week but it's not true. He was having trouble adjusting to new gloves before the Jets game. He was caught on camera bending his thumb back and forth (looking like it was hurt) but he was really just having a hard time with the gloves. The story down here is that the gloves caused some of his problems passing last week.

This week, the story is that he's not going to wear the gloves -- at least not on his throwing hand that is. It's pretty easy to forget that the guy is still a Rookie. I think some of these little glitches are helping him learn some lessons that should help him out this week and into the future.

It's certain that one of us will be bummed out after the game...

Yes, I agree. This game will be better than the SuperBowl. It's the game of the year.
Maybe Roethlisberger should start listening to his equipment manager.

Oh well, the best team won -- congrats to jtxc, urbo, and the rest of the Patriot fans here. I'd say the difference came down to a Rookie QB vs. a veteran with Playoff and big game experience...We'll be back next year!

Good luck in Jacksonville you guys!

(oh, and man it was cold out there...)

Thanks Rudy. These games gime me small heart attacks. I feel mostly bad for Bettis. I'm surprised Randel El didn't do more. Going in I thought he would be more of a threat all around. As for Ben, Brady wasn't going to let him upstage him in the playoffs like he did on 10/31. Ben looked all "smily" after the game - you could tell he was a rookie more then than anytime. The older guys don't expect to make it back to the AFC game each year. They know how hard it is. Ben is young and innocent Maybe he thinks it's this easy!

As for the Super Bowl, I can't wait to eat some bird!

Thanks Rudy..........

I disagree with your analysis. I think the Pats shutdown the Steelers in all areas of the offense, taking away the run early forced the Steelers hand into the passing game. The Pats just waited for the ball. I think Cower made some questionable calls, and called the game a little tight. He kept calling on Bettis especially on first down, Bettis has always be sub par vs. New England, I thought he should have used Staley more.

The biggest reason Pittsburgh lost on sunday was our coach, by far the best coach in the league.

Oh well Rudy it's just a game, take solace in knowing your team was beat by the best football team EVER! (not my words, but spoken by many).

P.S. still digging out after 30" of snow with 5' drifts.......................545 drives great with 35" nobbies and the 4 wheel drive I had installed.

I agree that other areas of our game suffered but Ben didn't throw the ball the same as he did in the regular season.

He threw too many interceptions in both of our playoff games. I think one INT ended up with the Pats scoring a TD and another ended up with a Pats FG. I realize that we lost by more than 10 points but you have to factor in that at least one INT happened when we were close to scoring our own TD, etc.

I'm not one to analyze things backwards and forwards over and over -- I think that there are many reasons we lost. The most glaring problem that I see right now is the lack of big-game experience with our QB. His mistakes in the playoffs caused us to play a different game and allowed our opponent's defense to score many unanswered points...
