I want to replace my bang and olufsen earphones. I need something that's good all around (bass middle high) pitches. I'm considering the etymotic er-4p, but I heard the bass is not that great. Any good recommendations? Please state the pros and cons of them.

Thx.

I've got the Sennheiser HD 650: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_...?Open&row=2. They are excellent.

Better yet but more expensive, though is the Sennheiser HD 800: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_...?Open&row=2

My bad. The top rate ones are the Shure SE530s, which retail for $499: http://store.shure.com/store/shure/en_US/D...uctID.105460100.

I have one model down from that -- the gamer's version of the SE420s. They are very good.

oh, I know what you're saying. But as far as I know - and I have looked - there just is no better sound out of an earphone, than these. I guess, that's why their price is kind of justified - I've owned mine now for, like, 7 or 8 years and they sound great still (though one earphone did develop a little "crashing noise" for a little while, which strangely went away on it's own LOL).

My advice to you is, find some better pads for the B&O's - so that the "insulation" of the earbud inside the ear is more air-tight and that is it. I seriously doubt you'll find a better set, but if you do, please let me know - I'd probably pick up a set myself, unless its ridiculously expensive

I had a pair of Superfi 5pro. Gave them to my cousin. They were fantastic while I used them.
Although, they did lack bass a little bit.

I suppose you could go with the "extended bass" version.

I've got the Shure SE210's and they are brilliant. You start to hear stuff on tunes you've not heard before.

Highly Recommended

I have Ultimate Ears as well. Very good, and not too pricey.
