I was talking to a state trooper friend of mine and he said, if you travel the NJ Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway, do not rely on your V1, they now only use Laser!!! Anyone know of a good laser detector or blocker?

I thought the V1 did detect Laser. The problem is that by the time you detect it you are caught. The only chance is picing up laset pointed a a vehicle ahead of you.

Unless this is a very recent change, this is simply not true. As recently as about 2 weeks ago I drove both the Turnpike and Parkway and there were radar equipped troopers on both.

This is good to know katheikia. I'm heading down to Atlantic City this weekend and I always do around 110mph in the Express Lanes with my V1. Maybe I should get those radar jammers/blockers too, on top of my V1.

I like the way you are thinking: slowing down is not an option, especially on AC expressway

I got the news from him last night, so I guess it must be a new thing...Oh and he also said that NJ will go to one license plate soon.

Calton - I'll tell my pal who's the NJSP Major to keep an eye out for you...What's your plate again? You shouldn't be driving that way without a badge.
