I purchased my first B&O product in 1974, a Beogram 1700 turntable.
And now I have a B&O phone sitting on my home office desk ... BeoCom 3.
One of the all-time great brands.

I got the BeoSound 9000 with the BeoLab 8000 speakers a few years ago and I just love them. I would normally never spend that much money for a stereo system, but at the time I had some unexpected income and I had always wanted a BeoSound 9000, so I ended up doing it. Also, I was able to convince my wife because having the Beosound mounted on the wall meant clearing up the floorspace that the old stereo system took up, AND getting rid of the clutter of wires that were behind it. At the time my wife wanted to get a piece of modern art to put on the same wall that would have cost about the same as the BeoSound. We ended up getting the BeoSound instead, which itself is a piece of modern art IMO. I mounted the BeoSound horizontally on the wall and passed the wires through the wall so they can't be seen. Here's a couple of pictures of the BeoSound 9000....unfolrtunately the BeoLab 8000 speakers can't be seen in these pictures as they are just outside the frame:
