In
, the manufacturer is actually praised for never having invented anything they put in their car for putting all of those things in the car as standard equipment. Am I the only one who thinks there's something wrong with this?

They are ruining automotive experience for those of us who actually love cars by trivializing some of the best engineering achievements of our times - and not just this manufacturer - I'm talking about the whole industry. It used to be that everyone wanted a car, but not everyone could have one. Now, everyone can have one AND the schmucks in Kias can actually laugh at 7 series drivers and say they got all of the same options in their cars for 1/10th the price, not knowing what makes an automobile in the first place.

You might want to take a look at who is behind much of the technology in the E60... It's not BMW who invented Active Steering or Active Roll Stabilization, for example.
The point of the commercial is reasonably obvious, and for their target market (hint - it's probably not many of us here) it's probably reasonably effective.

+1, Kia Motors is a very late starter in the automobile industry race so what do you expect?

"Ford was aware of this design flaw but allegedly refused to pay what was characterized as the minimal expense of a redesign. Instead, it was argued, Ford decided it would be cheaper to pay off possible lawsuits for resulting deaths. Mother Jones magazine obtained the cost-benefit analysis that it said Ford had used to compare the cost of an $11 ($57 today, allowing for inflation) repair against the monetary value of a human life, in what became known as the Ford Pinto memo.[5][6][7] The characterization of Ford's design decision as gross disregard for human lives in favor of profits led to significant lawsuits. While Ford was acquitted of criminal charges, it lost several million dollars and gained a reputation for manufacturing "the barbecue that seats four."[8] Nevertheless, as a result of this identified problem, Ford initiated a callback which provided a dealer installable "safety kit" that installed some plastic protective material over the offending sharp objects, negating the risk of tank puncture."[9]"

BTW: Who put you in charge of determining who is a "true" enthusiast and who isn't? I've been a car enthusiast for pretty much my whole life and I've never met anyone who truly appreciates all makes and models of cars. In fact, most enthusiasts I know developed a passion for a particular marque or model and from that point progressively became more dedicated.
