My steering is making a noise - need to flush the fluid and test the pressure. Plus, rpm is getting jumpy at idle - EGR valve cleaning/replacement looms, no doubt. Weird that the steering noise only comes around after rain/snow - maybe moisture is getting in somehow? The master power steering cylinder (or whatever it is called) looks like it is leaking from the top - might need replacing... wish I was still under warranty, so I could just get a loaner and not have to worry about any of this crap, but oh well... it isn't so bad - just annoying, I guess. It is still kind of cold to go digging under the hood myself, will probably go to my indie and have him do all this crap for me.
Really looking forward to this spring - looks like I'm finally getting my drop, the 19's are awaiting some good rubber. Took a curve at near-limit today and felt some sidewall flex and body roll - disgusting! What is this - a Benz? No, no, no, no! I'm getting rid of THAT ish!

What? You could do all this for $30 bucks too?

Love this forum
did an oil change, air filter cleaning and MAF sensor cleaning. Also topped off the steering fluid - all under 150 with oil+parts included. At the dealer? I don't know... maybe a grand? Bonus: car actually runs SO much smoother and even a little quicker

I do MAF sensor cleaning every 6 months or so. But I have to say, ultimately, it is probably NOT a "fix" - just a patch. You will eventually need to get a new sensor. But before you go shelling out 300 bucks, the can of cleaner is - like Phil said - 7 bucks, and the MAF sensor is installed in plain view, held by 2 torx screws - why not?

The reason I cleaned my MAF sensor in the first place was because I was getting some uneven idle. Although, it only fixes the issue temporarily - you need to either re-clean it often or get a new sensor.
