Very much agree Iceman. The innocents in Norway had no reason to die, but this fool was bound to die one way or another.

Her troubled personal life aside, she had a lot of talent. She's not the first person to struggle with wealth and fame, and she certainly won't be the last. Alcohol and drugs created a troubled personal life for her, and unlike most of us her foibles and troubles were broadcast for all to see. None of us have to live with that pressure.

Still, it's better to remember a talent - and hers were considerable - than to speak ill of the recently dead.

the media is horrible, ive heard more about this dipshit then what happened in Norway! Its insane.. Who cares if another young singer with a promised future snorted soo much cocaine or shot so much heroin she overdosed... who gives a crap... I hardly saw Norway on the news, hardly in the paper.. Its crazy how the media manipulates what should be important to us.. Like we are slaves trapped or something..

Here in Northern Europe (at least), the coverage of these two tragic news has been vice versa, fortunately.

She joined the 27 Club: Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain and others.

I note, that there has been some sensorship here within this topic! I wonder why???

Norway, rightly, got much more media coverage. It is still the top story on most major news channels and websites.

That said, like it or not, we are a pop culture society and we get the news we deserve... In this regard, a celebrity's passing, particularly when there is a back story as there is here, will always make the news.

That's a very very sad club to read about. But, I suppose, we should all try and learn from it. Very sad

I don't know where the previous poster live, but here in Massachusetts the Norway tragedy received far more attention than Amy. A person's death is always tragic, whether self-induced or not. Criticizing her is akin to criticizing people for eating too much and dieing of a heart attack or criticizing the avid runner for being run over by a car. Where is our compassion? If this were your daughter or sister would you feel the same way? May she rest in peace and may the Norway victims rest in peace.
