Hey guys

Me and my wife have a trip planned to Greece next summer (August). We will be staying 4 nights in Mykonos and 3 nights in Santorini and 1 night in Athens. Do you have suggestions on things to see, places to go, good restaurants, clubs, etc.?

Nicke60gre, Katheikia,

Also non-greek forum members can chime in if you have any suggestions from previous trips

Honestly, if you plan on going in the winter months, Athens is the place to be. Why?....Because all the singer have there own bouzoutsithika, and places are packed, and a wonderfull time to go, with couples, friends, and family.

To hang out I usually go to gliyfatha, vouliagmeni, also. I go there to hang out, shopping, which is big as well, kafe, my friends.

The islands are not too popular this time of year, but they are deffintly quiet and relaxing. Where I want to be, if I am lookig for romance, alone time with my wife.

I guess it depends on what you would liek to do. Patra is beautiful, Egiew is as well.....

Have a great time, I am deffinitly jealious. Got room in your suit case for me....

Mykonos: most cosmopolitan of the Cyclades island group, expensive, trendy and very good beaches - one of them being Paradis Beach. Quaint clubs on the SE of the town. (pic)

To all my fellow forum members from Greece-20614753_e60c624ae3.jpg

Santorini: more of a romantic getaway island, very dramatic scenery as the town is built along a 1000' drop cliff. Restaurants and clubs along the edge are very impressive.

To all my fellow forum members from Greece-santorini_20211__1024x768_.jpg

Both are small, so you will probably see everything and develop a favorite restaurant/club in one day.

Athens: The Acropolis and the immediate surrounding offer the best past pastime for a day/night. There is a pedestrian walk around the Acropolis encompassing Psiri, Thisio, Monastiraki - all kinds of trendy, traditional and progressive restaurants, clubs are to found around here. Very nice.

Good to see you again Nick! Glad your father is doing better -- hope you're back up and "kicking" soon...
