We can't have "that" one, but we can supercharge our 545/550 with the ESS kit, when they will decide to release it .

I know only that ESStuning.com wants ?8000 for the 530i kit and for the V8 the price can't be lower .
My opinion is that it is a little too much and this is the reason why we will have to be a few customers gathered to obtain a good discount on the price we'll read on their site.
I will report possible news .
Hey AlexFW,

It must have been fun to test drive the B5. I have recently received an email back from ESS tuning

and I was told that ESS tuning have been working on a design for the 545i/550i model, but it is still not finalized.

ESS tuning has no ETA on this product or if it will ever be available.

If you do hear anything else please keep us informed.

Alex you lucky dog. I get BMWCar magazine imported from UK and always read the Alpina stories first. We can only get the B7, about $120k US. No B3, no B5, I would love that car !!!!!

Don't despair for the future: if they export to US the B7 maybe in the future other cars will come .
Do you know they have a 335i 4WD 360 HP, named "B3 allrad" ?

I bet next their 5 series will have the V8 TT @470-480 HP instead of 410 by BMW .

The major advantage is the exclusivity: in my country there is only one dealer, here in my city, and I saw a lot of M5 but only a B5 .
Plus you can customize it more than a normal BMW I think .

I hope they will make the new Z4, although today they haven't a Z4 .

From everything I have read Alpina would be great in the US especially in the Snow Belt areas where the roads are crap (where I live). BMW 1 and 3 series sport suspensions are too firm for me on New England roads (5 series is OK). I literally get tossed back and forth in the seat. This is also a common complain in the UK where BMWCar often recommends the "SE" vs. the "Sport" on many models just because of the ride issues.

Alpina is known for great handling cars combined with a softer ride than a BMW Sport suspension and HUGE power. And they use big wheels, Usually 19"s and up. BMW should pay attention.

For street driving I would take a 500HP Alpina B5 with more low end torque over a 500HP M5 any day of the week.

I think you should buy one

Today I was watching to the Gina prototype, the base for the next Z4 .. Mmmm ..

Sure, 10x better : I knew even

If you have a big petrol engine here you should keep it till it works, because it's impossible to sell it .
Next time maybe I will buy an Alpina instead of a BMW, simply.
