Andy, why did you became ATC when you have a CPL ?
I would fly instead of sitting under neon lights...?![Unsure](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/unsure.gif)

Flew commercially in Australia in the late 80's - In 89, big industrial action = strike > big mess > no work...It was either postgraduate in aviation management or something else until the industry recovered. Applied for ATC in 92'. Since it was still in Operation division and after another 4 years training, never looked back.
I'm very happy doing it, and like Rudy said, can't beat being back home every day ( except the night shifts ! ).
I still fly, privately, mostly in the US. Last March, I got a mountain rating and did some flying over Lake Tahoe...absolutely beautiful!

PS. BTW, Ice, no neon lights....
