what a joke. I think they just what to make more money.
I think if a plane is going to crash 99% ppl with not live even if it has all airbags in the cockpit.

True. Somehow, all the airbags in the wall don't matter if you plow into the ground at several hundred knots or more.

I'm no expert but I would think that it depends on the crash. Raising the G rating for the seats to 18G's seems like a good idea and there are lots of injuries that happen on crash landings or ground collisions where the airbags might help. I don't think the airbags are for mid air breakups like the Air France flight from Brasil or the recent icing accident in Buffalo.

On another note, aren't airbags set-off with explosives?

How about we just put every passenger in a giant bubble that is not penetrable.

Or what about ejectable parachute seats? I never understood why there isn't parachutes... At least there would be a better chance of survival right?

Airbags would at least help keep all the parts together, makes the coroner's job easier.

WOW.....

Had a friend in the Civil Air Patrol, while cleaning up a small plane accident he asked the coroner how does he tell one piece from another, the response:
"Hey, parts is parts"
