ACURA MDX AND TL DRIVERS - TURN ON YOUR FRIGGIN LIGHTS
#1
So drove in the pouring rain and snow from NYC to Boston last night.
Came across 6 cars on the highway that had NO LIGHTS ON in the pitch blackness of night .
I mean absolutely NO LIGHT
No tail light
No headlight
4 of the 6 cars were Acura MDX's (the new model)
The other 2 were Acura TL's ( the new model )
Tried to warn the drivers by flashing my lights, and at one point drove up next to one to warn him. He thought I was harassing him and changed lanes and slowed waay down.
But NONE of them had their lights on.
I noticed they all had really bright dashboards with the electroluminescent gauges.
These idiots probably don't have any idea when their lights are on or not.
It is totally irresponsible. So frankly the last MDX I encountered at around Framingham, I called the state police to report a car driving with no lights at unsafe speeds and within 5 mins he got pulled over.
It is either stupidity or poor design - or likely a combination of both.

Hmmm...most of all the new MDXs I've seen have a set of lights toward the bottom of the bumper that are always one; like daytime running lights. Similar to the yellow lights on Corvettes.

Do they really think it's sufficient to drive around with no rear lights on at night?

MDX owner here, I can tell you that its the driver. The car comes with auto mode for both head and tail lights. This thing would turn on when I drive thru a long underpass during the day.

Yes - but what about the rear?
Do they really think it's sufficient to drive around with no rear lights on at night?

I missed the thread on this. Ice don't like people driving with fogs? Anyone got a link to the post.
