I believe the hacker has to know that you have an iPhone + your number. I guess they can always send a blanket msg and hope to hit 1 or 2 and takes how it spreads out.

Not sure it would be too hard to do...

Carriers were issued phone numbers in large blocks and except for cases where someone ported a number from one carrier to another (which would be a relatively small number anywa) it would be easy to target large blocks of numbers that were known to be AT&T customers. From there, the popularity of the iPhone would make the odds pretty good that some of these text messages would land on an iPhone.

ah ha sucka's I ported my phone number from Sprint that I was issed 5 years ago to ATT for the Iphone. I should be fine. Anyways, what the hell could a hacker do with my iphone anyways? Disrupt my social networking? Email my boss a dirty message?
