Following the success of Rsyed in converting the standard LCI auto transmission to SAT, I took the plunge and ordered the kit.

Today I took delivery of two of the four bits I need.

Hopefully the trim and all important sports button arrive in a day or so and then time to get the tools out!

Good luck with the retrofit 525d MSport - Kent has gone a stage further and is having the steering wheel and paddle shifters done. How far are you Kent? Did oyu get the parts from USA yet?

I hadn't intended to and it would depend on costs!

Tell me the advantages you find with the SAT compared to standard.

I now have the trim but not the sports button.

The trim came wrong but by taking it apart I can use part of the existing piece so now have a choice of gloss or matt black. The aluminium part of the console clips to the plastic base below. With the amount of matt leather on the shifter, the matt surround of the console might go well.

Decisions, decisions...
