I contacted Andy as well to see if he wanted to take this over as there is no way my distributor is going to sell them to me.

I don't understand why it matters what price I sell products I own for. If they were drop shipping that is one thing, but if I pay for them in full they should be mine, no?

At least 2 people on the board got to benefit as we already had 2 in stock.

Thats only $5 less than andy wong if he can't do the deal, don't be cheap get it.

 

Unfortunately... I hate to be the one telling everyone the bad news; andy will not be able to do a group buy now nor in the near future. Andy said it was due to price increase by the distributor. Oh well... I don't know how some businesses will survive during the economic slump because evryone is out to save a buck or two. Well I guess we have to save gas one way or the other. I have to settle with looking fast and feeling slow.

He got caught in the same thing I did. They will not let you sell for less then MSRP, 315.00.

Well, as a result of this I'm no longer carrying their products as I just don't agree with that policy. You can pick them up on ebay for a lot cheaper, but you still have to manage sell at MSRP?

The only ones I'm able to sell at full price are ones internationally because the shipping is free.

The part probably only costs about $2.00 to make, what a shame.

 

OK guys here is the bottom line and some explanation about the SB product (given to me by the main distributor in NA) :

1- The product suggested price is $349 and that?s what any local dealer will sell it for. The minimal retail price is $315 for group buys.
2- The main distributor gave an (understandable) wholesale price for large orders but some sellers bent their prices and sold them almost at cost instead of making more profit (go figure).
3- Hence, the market is very hectic right now since the low prices made the sales unstable and kind of overran the principle of offer and demand.
4- TVT is welcome to reopen his group buy at a new price of $315 (I know that the demand will be the same since no one will get a better price anywhere else)

Weird...I've contacted Andy recently for 2 friends that wanted the SB's, after testing it on my car, and he sold me the SB for $270 shipped.

 

^ That price sounds better.
